Metrics Land: Building a Culture of Trust in Metrics & KPIs

Organizations everywhere are being asked to make data-driven decisions, yet many struggle to determine what to measure, how to present it, and how to turn metrics into meaningful action. In this engaging and interactive session, Alysia Villanti will take attendees on a Candy Land-inspired journey through the world of organizational metrics and reporting.

Using the creative framework of Metrics Land, Alysia will explore the common challenges organizations face when establishing metrics programs, including identifying meaningful measures, creating effective dashboards, overcoming data quality obstacles, and building trust in reporting practices. Along the way, attendees will learn practical approaches for transforming raw data into actionable insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Through real-world examples and lessons learned from leading service management and performance measurement initiatives at Cornell University, participants will gain strategies to develop metrics that drive learning, improve transparency, and align operational performance with organizational goals.

Whether you're just beginning your metrics journey or looking to mature an existing measurement program, you'll leave with practical ideas, helpful resources, and renewed confidence to take the next step toward data-informed decision making.
