PMI Rochester - New Office Open!  
 
PMI Rochester Chapter - has a new Office location! - Monday, July 21, 2008

PMI Rochester has finally landed!  Yes, we have a home to call our own (or at least it is rented). The PMI Rochester board at our last meeting approved an expenditure to secure a one room office and conference room for our chapter. Our new office will allow us to conduct our board meetings in one location as well as other meetings of committees that occur throughout the year. Further, we have our own phone number and a mailing location. The board is very excited about this new venue and we hope to better serve our members from this location.  We are subletting this office from "Prevention One", a non-profit organization devoted to the fire safety of children.

Our new office is located at the Pickle Factory Office Complex in Pittsford NY. Here is the information and we welcome visitors, but, please call first.

Claiming your PDU's from the 2008 PDD

For those of you who attended the 2008 PMI Rochester Professional Development Day on May 14th, please note the following from Brittany Miles, the VP of Re-Certification:

Each PMP is responsible to self report the PDUs earned at the PDD through the PMI National web site at www.pmi.org.  The 7.5 PDU's earned should be reported under Category 3: Registered Education Provider program.  The provider id is C034 and course id is 14052008.

Welcome to PMI Rochester  
 

The Rochester Chapter supports the purpose of the PMI®.  

The mission of the Rochester Chapter is to improve project and program performance for individuals, companies and organizations in the Greater Rochester Region.

The vision is to be recognized in the Greater Rochester region as the organization and resource of choice for Project Management professionalism.

The objectives of the Rochester Chapter are to:

  • Promote the awareness, practice and profession of Project Management and the PMI®
  • Support the training and professional development of Project Management professionals to improve overall skill level and effectiveness
  • Advocate acceptance of Project Management as a profession and discipline.
  • Partner with other professional organizations dedicated to the advancement of Project Management practices, objectives and ideals.
  • Encourage and foster the adoption of Project Management practices by corporations, government and other entities.
