In
addition to supporting the professional development of project
managers, PMI Rochester educates those outside the profession about how
project management creates success. Our advocacy efforts highlight
organizations in our region that use project management practices, and
the leadership capabilities of professionals in the field, to achieve
business results.
PMI
Rochester exists to support its members and their profession of project
management. In doing so, we also support all project practitioners
around the world and in our area, along with other critical
stakeholders. This includes those who employ project management
practitioners and those who provide services to the profession. Our
core purpose is our mission: To advance the practice, science, and
profession of project management throughout the region in a conscious
and proactive manner.
We
call our long-term goal -- 10 to 30 years out -- our “Envisioned Goal.”
It’s key to PMI’s and our strategic plans, and it is our vision. We
want organizations to use project management -- and give credit for
success where credit is due.
