Are you new to PMI Rochester? Do you go to Chapter meetings and find a group of strangers?
One of the ways to get to know people in your profession is to become involved! PMI Rochester is led by volunteers, run by volunteers and utilizes volunteers for most of the tasks needed to make it the organization that it is.
The key to any effective organization is people who are committed to the common mission. The PMI Rochester Chapter has been fortunate to have many capable and motivated people participating in building and maintaining the chapter from the early days through to our most recent accomplishments.
We welcome you in joining this group to take an active role in supporting the development of the Project Management profession throughout the Rochester and Ithaca areas.
There are volunteer opportunities that range in commitment from as little as a one-time two-hour role at a seminar to support registration to the many hours committed by our board. Many opportunities request two to four hours per month or short term commitments. There are always opportunities for leadership, program development, community service and any other area that a 600+ member organization needs to remain strong.

Share your passion with others by accepting one of these volunteer positions today:

Chapter Videographer - Take video of PMI Rochester chapter meetings, social events and the PDD for placement on our website and YouTube page.
- Facilities Manager - Primary contact for meeting venues, preps for meeting presentations, provide registration table coverage (Chapter Meeting volunteers available to assist).
- Bloggers - Write and deliver Project Management related blogs to the VP of Communications, Marketing and Social Media for posting on our PMI Rochester blog and related social media sites.
- Director of Communication and Social Networking - Locate and provide local and national project management information (articles, blogs, videos, etc.) to the VP of Communications, Marketing and Social Media, who will share the content with our membership through our social media sites.
- Publicity Manager- Write and distribute public relations information and press releases about the Chapter news and events on an ad hoc/as needed basis.
- YouTube Manager - Work with the VP Communications, Marketing and Social Media to manage our Chapter YouTube page.
